Liglass Trading promised to build the Upper Naryn cascade, Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Duishenbek Zilaliev said today at a meeting with journalists.

According to him, representatives of the Czech company play cunning, saying that the cascade was given to them in addition. «At the tender, they said: if they are given the construction of 10 small hydropower plants, they will build the Upper Naryn cascade. Nobody obliged them. All other tenderers had the same conditions. No one else has done such proposals,» Duishenbek Zilaliev said.

He added that there was no reason not to trust the company. However, the members of the tender commission were not provided with a certificate from the Foreign Affairs Ministry, which states that Liglass Trading is a dubious firm.

Recall, the government of Kyrgyzstan and Liglass Trading signed an agreement on the construction and commissioning of Ak-Bulun hydropower station and Naryn HPP-1 of the Upper Naryn cascade. The same company won the tender for the construction of ten small HPPs. The government, at the time, voices different terms for payment of $ 37 million by Liglass Trading company for the redemption of 50 percent of shares in Upper Naryn HPPs CJSC. This is exactly the amount Kyrgyzstan should return to the Russian company RusHydro, which is already preparing to file a claim to international arbitration.
