Government of Kyrgyzstan reports on work done month before elections

A month left before the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan. The government reported on the work done.

Deputy Prime Minister Duishenbek Zilaliev told today at a press conference that the non-transparent elections led to the overthrow of the family-clan regime. «New technologies have been introduced — biometric data, automatic counting of votes and a number of other innovations that have made it possible to bring the electoral system to the leaders not only in Central Asia,» he said.

According to him, a strict ban on attracting students, teachers, doctors, employees of state organizations to election campaigning was introduced. In addition, there is a ban on interference of state and local government in the activities of election commissions. All attempts to influence the outcome of voting will be strictly punished, the Vice Prime Minister promised.
