Chief of Genaral Staff of MIA of Kyrgyzstan appointed for second time in month

Abdish Koombaev was appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

He replaced Erkin Bayev, appointed to the post in late August.

Abdish Koombaev — colonel of the militia, was born on February 23, 1969. He graduated from the Kyrgyz State National University, the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Doctor of Law.

In 1992, he began serving in the internal affairs bodies as an investigator. He took various managerial positions, including the head of the Sokuluk District Department of Internal Affairs, Chui District Department of Internal Affairs, and the Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region.
