Ethnographic village opens in center of Bishkek

Today, the IV World Festival of the World’s Eposes opened in Bishkek.

Ethnographic village «Kyrgyz kochyu» appeared on the square in front of the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov. 20 yurts from all corners of Kyrgyzstan will compete for the title of the best.

Guests can get acquainted not only with the Kyrgyz way of life, make photos against the background of yurts, but also purchase a souvenir at the exhibition of arts and crafts.

In the Philharmonic Hall on the evening of September 4, a concert of the participants of the international festival will be held, and on September 5 a theatrical program «Parade of Cultural Diversity» will take place. The concert will feature performers from Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Altai, Bashkortostan, Kalmykia, the Republic of Sakha, as well as the famous musician from Ecuador, Leo Rojas.

Within the framework of the festival, an international scientific and practical symposium will be held that brings together professors, associate professors (doctors and candidates of philosophical sciences) and other scientists, as well as researchers in the field of folklore and narrators of folk epics from such countries as Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, the Russian Federation, the United States, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
