Russia intends to deport foreigners for “undesirable behavior”

The Federation Council of the State Duma of Russia is preparing a bill that provides for deportation of foreign citizens from Russia for «undesirable behavior», Russian media reported.

As noted, «undesirable behavior» means activities harmful to national security. According to sources, Russian citizens are liable for this from administrative to criminal, and expulsion from the country to foreigners.

«The term will apply to individuals, mostly foreigners. «Undesirable behavior» may entail even expulsion from Russia. At the same time, the term can also be applied to Russian citizens and legal entities,» the Russian media specified.

It is expected that the document will be submitted to the State Duma in early 2018 and will complement the existing Law on «Unwanted Organizations», adopted two years earlier.
