Foreign Ministry asks Kyrgyzstanis in US to be cautious because of Hurricane

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in connection with the hurricane «Harvey» approaching to the eastern coast of the United States and the declared emergency situation in a number of districts of the state of Texas, recommends all citizens of Kyrgyzstan to refuse to travel to this region of America, and those living there — to strictly follow the recommendations of local authorities on evacuation to full normalization of the situation.

Hurricane Harvey, which could become the largest in the United States for the last 12 years and lead to casualties and destruction, approached the coast on the night of Friday, August 25, Saturday, August 26, 2017.
