Parliament intends to convene extraordinary session to elect new prime minister

The coalition of the parliamentary majority initiates the convocation of an extraordinary session of the deputies of the parliament. The sources in the parliament told 24.kg news agency.

According to their data, it is planned to collect deputies before the end of vacations on August 21 or 25. On the agenda, the initiators intend to raise one issue — the election of a new head of government.

Earlier it became known that the acting Prime Minister Sooronbai Jeenbekov plans to resign on August 21. Recall, he is a presidential candidate for the country from the SDPK party.

The coalition of the parliamentary majority proposes for the post of prime minister the head of the Presidential Administration Sapar Isakov.
