DiCaprio calls on participants of forum in Kyrgyzstan to save snow leopards

Famous Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio calls on in social networks to sign petition #SaveSnowLeopards.

«Leaders from all twelve countries where snow leopards roam will come together this August in Kyrgyzstan. Tell them to take strong action to #SaveSnowLeopards now. Sign the letter,» WWF website says.

Recall, on August 23-25, Bishkek will host the International Forum on the conservation of the snow leopard and its ecosystems.

It is expected that the event will bring together the leaders and representatives of the governments of the twelve countries of the Red Book listed animal habitat, as well as other interested countries — leaders of international and donor agencies, environmental and scientific organizations.

The international forum aims to further strengthen the efforts of the countries to protect the snow leopard, as well as to increase international support for the plan on providing it with 20 landscapes by 2020.
