Ministry of Internal Affairs registers about 13,000 incidents, crimes in 2017

In the first half of 2017, the internal affairs agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic registered 12,908 incidents and crimes, and 12,209 criminal cases were instituted. Such results were announced at the board meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is specified that during the investigation of all criminal cases of the past years and in 2017, 11,462 cases or 79.2 percent, were solved, 9,959 criminal cases were investigated and sent to the court.

According to the department, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ulan Israilov, noted the shortcomings in the activities of individual units, including criminal investigation department, drug trafficking control, road safety, the management of the fight against religious extremism and terrorism, and the services for minors affairs.

It is noted that the board also considered issues of performance discipline.
