Court temporarily restricts protests in Bishkek

The Ministry of Internal Affairs sent an application to Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek on the basis of which the court ruled to ban rallies outside the buildings of courts, ministries, the Central Election Commission and the White House in the capital. The court office informed 24.kg news agency.

According to it, restrictions are introduced from August 1 till October 20.

Supporters of ex-deputy Sadyr Japarov held rallies near the building of Pervomaisky district court these days. He is accused of taking a hostage and hooliganism. Tomorrow, on August 2, he is to be sentenced.

In addition, supporters of MP Omurbek Tekebayev and ex-head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Duishenkul Chotonov also come to the court building. Residents of the nearby houses have already appealed to the court with a request to prohibit these gatherings.
