The volume of calls for prayers in mosques in the country should not exceed 40 decibels. This decision was made by the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan after numerous complaints of citizens living near mosques.
The SDMK also demanded from imams to read the adhan according to the rules developed and approved by the muftiyat. One of the main requirements for adhan was its euphoniousness.
«Adhan should be read in such a way in order it to be pleasant for ears," the clergymen explained.
Previously, the city residents complained about the loudness of adhan, especially at night and pre-dawn. Henceforth, the volume level of loudspeakers at mosques should not exceed 40 decibels.
