Onuguu-Progress nominates Bakyt Torobayev for presidential post

Onuguu-Progress party nominated Bakyt Torobayev for the presidential post. The decision was made today at the congress of the political organization.

The delegates of the forum, which is being held in Bishkek, supported their leader.

44-year-old Bakyt Torobayev is a member of Parliament from Onuguu-Progress faction. In 2010, he was a member of Parliament from Respublika party, he held the post of Vice Speaker. The 5th presidential candidate has economic education — in 1999 he graduated from the Kyrgyz National University.

In 2009–2010, he took the post of the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Earlier, the Central Election Commission received applications for the main political post from Nazarbek Nyshanov, Omurbek Tekebayev, Temir Sariev and Arstanbek Abdyldaev.
