Ministry of Transport to start certification of roads in Kyrgyzstan

The Ministry of Transport will start the certification of roads in Kyrgyzstan in 2017. This was stated at a press conference by the head of the ministry Jamshitbek Kalilov.

According to him, this document is necessary to monitor the quality of the constructed road.

«According to the passport, we can see who has built the road and when, how much time has passed after the repair. If there are shortcomings, we can involve company in their elimination and in the future not to hire it for construction. The certification program will be very convenient for tracking the money spent on repairing roads of local and national importance," the minister said.

The head of the Transport Ministry noted that in two months a mobile laboratory will arrive in Kyrgyzstan, which will access the quality of roads. «This is Russian equipment. Their specialists will train ours, after which we will begin work in a test mode," the minister said.

As he noted, certification will start from the roads in Talas region.
