Russian Su 25 train strikes against militant bases at exercises in Kyrgyzstan

Crews of Su-25 SM combat aircrafts of the Russian military base Kant started air attacks against mountain bases of conditional bandit formations within the framework of the launched flight and tactical exercises in Kyrgyzstan. Colonel Yaroslav Roshupkin, Assistant to the Commander of the Central Military District, told. TASS reported.

«In the course of practical actions, «Grachi» work out air attacks from low altitudes at low speeds, which allow maximally increase the effectiveness of target destruction," Yaroslav Roshupkin said.

The exercise, which involves up to three links of Su-25 SM, will last till the end of the week.

«The pilots also worked out the preparation for conducting combat training operations, carried out search for fire points, command posts and base camps of conditional illegal armed formations at Edelweiss training ground in the foothills of the Kyrgyz Alatau on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Su-25 use air bombs and missile-cannon armament of aircrafts," the colonel specified.

The military base Kant is a part of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation and is an aviation component of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces. It participates in ensuring the security of the territory and airspace of the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
