Today, the capital’s exchange offices and commercial banks buy the dollar for 68.45–68.65 soms, and sell - for 68.8–68.9. The nominal rate is 68.5 soms. Thus, since the beginning of the month, the dollar has risen in price by 40 tyiyn and reached the values of October 2016. The highest in 2017 exchange rate was observed in January — 69.75 soms.
Note, since the beginning of the week the exchange rate of not only the dollar, but also the Russian ruble has changed. This currency is losing ground. Within a few days, it has become cheaper by 20–30 tyiyn. Today, the ruble is bought for 1.14–1.15, and sold - for 1.16–1.18 soms. Nominal rate is 1,1694 soms (a drop for a day — 1.06 percent).
The rate of the Kazakh tenge remains practically unchanged — 0,205–0.23 soms.
