Court sentences women- robbers of Leonid Tuzov to 9 and 12 years in prison

The proceedings over the beating and robbery of veteran of the Great Patriotic War Leonid Tuzov were completed today in Leninsky District Court of Bishkek.

The accused were Lyudmila Belova and Alena Lyulyukova. The court found them guilty and sentenced Belova to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property, and Lyulyukova -to 9 years with confiscation of property.

The court also upheld the moral and material claims of the injured party.

The oldest instructor of the Kyrgyz National University, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Leonid Tuzov, was brutally beaten up and robbed on March 13, 2017. A young woman knocked at the door of his apartment in legendary «professor» house of KNU. She said she was pregnant, and asked to go to the toilet. He let her in. Another young woman followed her.
