Senate of Kazakhstan approves stay of citizens without registration for 30 days

The Senate of Kazakhstan approved the agreement with Kyrgyzstan, according to which citizens of the two countries can stay on the territory of the states for 30 days without registration, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan reported.

It is noted that the deputies of the Kazakh Parliament adopted a law on ratification of the protocol on introducing amendments and additions to the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on the order of stay of citizens of Kazakhstan on the territory of Kyrgyzstan and citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the territory of Kazakhstan dated May 11, 2012.»

«This protocol amends article 1 of the agreement, according to which citizens of the state of one side temporarily staying in the territory of the state of the other party are exempted from the obligation to register with the competent bodies of the side of residence within 30 calendar days," the Senate’s profile committee said.

It is noted that this period is calculated from the date of entry of a citizen of the state of one party into the territory of the state of the other party, confirmed by the migration card and / or the mark of the border control bodies presented at the entrance to the territory of the state of the host country.

On March 16, the law was supported by the deputies of the Parliament. On April 17, 2017, a similar law was signed by Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev.
