More than a half of the surveyed young Kyrgyzstanis (52 percent) consider migration as a way to earn. Data was presented by the project M-Report.
According to the survey, 17 percent believe that migration is a way to broaden horizons, and for 9 percent — a way to survive. For respondents older than 28 years (5 percent), migration is the cause of family breakdown.
For 24 percent of respondents from Bishkek — migration is a broadening of outlook, while in only 3 percent thinks so.
M-report is a project aimed at gathering opinions of young people of on important public issues through SMS messages.
