At least 203 fires have occurred in Bishkek for 5 months of 2017. It is 16 times less than in 2016. The State Fire Service informed 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the damage amounted to 21.95 million soms. For the same period of 2016, the damage was 26.54 million soms.
In general, fires occur due to violations of the rules of technical operation of equipment, short-circuits (80 cases), carelessness during smoking (50 cases). At least 15 fires occurred because of the improper arrangement of heating stoves and chimneys. There were at least 6 arsons. Four more fires in 2017 occurred because of pranks by children.
