Almost 4 kg of Afghan opium confiscated in Jalal-Abad region

Almost four kilograms of Afghan opium were seized in Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, in the course of joint operational search activities, the employees of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Jalal-Abad region, the State National Security Committee and the State Customs Service detected illegal storage of heavy narcotic drugs for sale.

In the course of a search sanctioned by the court, a cache with 3.97 kilograms of opium was found in the house of a resident of Suzak district.

As a result of the work carried out by the staff of the agency, the channel for the transit of drugs through the republic was suppressed.

The suspect was previously judged for sale of drugs and is registered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a member of an organized drug trafficking group. Investigative actions are conducted within the criminal case.
