Monument to Chingiz Aitmatov to appear in Moscow

A monument to Chingiz Aitmatov will be erected in Moscow. Russian media reported.

According to them, yesterday, the Monumental Art Commission under the Moscow City Duma unanimously approved this proposal. The monument will be installed in the south of Moscow, in the park, named after the writer.

Earlier, the commission chairman Igor Voskresensky said that the installation of the monument is an agreement between two presidents.

As reported, the initiator of its installation — the Kyrgyz side — will finance erection of the monument.
