Dmitry Rogozin: Factories that have been idle since Soviet times should work

«The enterprises that have been idle since Soviet times should start working," Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin said today following the meeting of the CSTO Interstate Commission for Military-Economic Cooperation held in Bishkek.

According to him, the parties discussed possible cooperation of defense enterprises, established in the Soviet era and not lost ties, but for a long time standing without orders. There are such factories in all CSTO countries. The increase in the status of the commission made it possible to include people who make decisions in its membership. As a result, the need for ties has become actualized, direct contacts between enterprises have been made, Dmitry Rogozin said.

«Today’s meeting was preceded not only by the activities of the working group. A delegation of the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia arrived. They visited a number of enterprises in Bishkek, which are extremely important. There is a plan for other enterprises that today stand idle or work only by a half," Dmitry Rogozin said.

It is already known that the Russian delegation visited Dastan plant and outlined concrete plans for its launching. The possibility of joint work with Nur OJSC is considered. The enterprise produces connectors for the radio electronic industry, which are in demand on the market. The Russian delegation will return to Kyrgyzstan in August to study the situation at the remaining idle plants. A detailed plan for launching production in Kyrgyzstan will be presented by the next meeting of the commission.
