Kyrgyztelecom exceeds its revenue forecast for 2017

The income of Kyrgyztelecom OJSC without subsidiaries for the first quarter of 2017 amounted to 418,746 million soms, the forecast was overfulfilled by 1.9 percent. Such data are indicated in the report of Kyrgyztelecom OJSC at the board meeting of the State Property Management Fund.

It is noted that overfulfilment of the plan was achieved by providing services to local, long-distance and international telephony services, Internet and IPTV services.

According to the company, in the indicated period 79.1 percent of revenues were received from Internet services, local telephone and intercity communication, and from operating activities.

«As a result of purposeful use of the financial resources received from the provision of services, operating expenses amounted to 383,789 million soms, which is 82.4% of the forecast value. Due to optimization of traffic costs, inter-operator expenses with telecommunication companies of Kyrgyzstan and abroad, it was possible to save 23,759 million soms, which is 5.1% of the total forecast expenditures. Compared with the same period last year, traffic costs decreased by 1,980 million soms, or 2.5% of their volume," the company’s report says.

According to the document, the saving of expense in comparison with the forecasted indicators occurred on all the main items analyzed, and the operating profit comprised 34,957 million soms.
