The government recognized the work of the State Registration Service on implementation of anti-corruption measures unsatisfactory.
Yesterday, on June 6, the Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a working meeting on the implementation of a detailed plan to dismantle systemic corruption in the State Registration Service.
He noted that corruption is an acute problem of the country, its influence leads to the weakening of almost all spheres of the state’s life.
«Public confidence in the state power is primarily formed thanks to the level of quality and transparency of public services provided. In this regard, orruption risks should be minimized as much as possible in SRS as one of the main bodies that provide public services in the country," Sooronbay Jeenbekov said.
It is noted that the plan of step-by-step activities for dismantling systemic corruption in the SRS was approved by the working group of the Defense Council on April 1, total, the SRS should have implemented 23 events up to August 30, 2015.
«The first monitoring was conducted on September 30, 2016. It performed only 3 out of 23 events. The second monitoring, conducted in May 2017, also showed a weak implementation of anti-corruption measures. The level of corruption in the registration service remains high," the report said.
The head of the Cabinet noted that the work on dismantling systemic corruption in the SRS is conducted formally and with weak and insufficient results, the reason is the disparaging and unprofessional attitude of its management towards the performance of its duties.
The SRS management was instructed in a week to take strict disciplinary measures against the heads of departments and structural subdivisions of its central office for inadequate implementation of anti-corruption measures.
Also within a month’s time, it is entrusted to take exhaustive measures for the implementation of uncompleted and partially executed anti-corruption measures.
