Labor quota for foreigners in Kyrgyzstan in 2016 comprises 14,490

In 2016, according to the labor quota, foreign citizens in Kyrgyzstan were allocated 14,490 jobs. Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service Almaz Asanbayev said this at a meeting of the Onuguu-Progress faction.

According to him, 12,165 seats of this number have been taken.

«As of June 1, at least 11 meetings of the interdepartmental commission were held, where 1,455 applications for work in Kyrgyzstan were examined. As a result, 10,429 foreign citizens were allowed to work. That is, 1,263 applications were ашддув," Almaz Asanbayev said.

He noted that this amounts to 72 percent of the total quota for 2017.

According to him, at presentб the Migration Service submits to the government a proposal to increase the quota for foreign citizens by five thousand seats. This is due to changes in Kyrgyz legislation in this sphere.

«46 percent out of the allocated quota are in Bishkek, 14 percent - in Chui region, 24 - in Jalal-Abad region (this is connected with the construction of roads). Osh accounted for only 2.4 percent, Osh region — 2.7 percent. Naryn region was allocated 1.5 percent of jobs, 0.9 percent - for Talas, Issyk-Kul- 3.6  and Batken- 3.4 percent," the official said.

He noted that most often foreigners work in industry and construction (55 percent), in agriculture (23 percent), in energy and geological exploration (20 percent), in trade and public catering (19.5 percent), in education (5 percent) and as individual entrepreneurs (3.8 percent).
