Economy of Kyrgyzstan experiences shock after accession to EEU

The economy of  experienced a shock after joining the EEU, the Economist of the World Bank office in Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Dubashov said today at a press conference.

According to him, according to the results of 2016, macroeconomic growth was noted at the expense of Kumtor, but even without gold mining, there is an increase of more than 3 percent. The state of the Kyrgyz economy was able to react to the negative consequences of 2015.

«There was a good growth in industry. In 2015, growth was weak. There was a slowdown in other industries. This is agriculture and construction. However, after joining the EEU, there was a certain shock for those who participated in foreign trade. Firms couldn’t overcome obstacles," Bakyt Dubashov said.
