Kyrgyzstan takes 78th place in Visa Restrictions Index 2017

According to Henley & Partners Company, in the Visa Restrictions Index-2017, Kyrgyzstan shares the 78th place with Armenia, Benin and Morocco, whose citizens can visit 58 countries without visa. Compared to 2016, the republic improved its position by one point.

 Germany takes the first place in the index. Its citizens can visit 176 countries without a visa. The second place is occupied by Sweden, whose citizens can visit 175 countries, the third — by Denmark, Finland, Italy, Spain and the United States — 174 countries. The fourth place is taken by Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Great Britain — 173. The top five is closed by Ireland, Japan, New Zealand — 172.

Henley & Partners' visa restrictions index is an international rating of countries on the level of freedom of movement that they provide to their citizens. The company analyzes the visa rules of more than 200 countries and territories of the world. The rating has been drawn up for more than 10 years in cooperation with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which supports the world’s largest tourist information base. The index is published annually. The country’s position in the ranking is determined by the number of countries which its citizens can enter without a visa.
