The deputy of the parliament Omurbek Babanov is dissatisfied with biometric passports. He stated this today at the session of the parliament.
According to him, recently new biometric passports were introduced. Only the date and place of birth is indicated there. The rest of the data is stored on the chip. «When applying to a bank, they are obliged to identify and check the registration. There are no readers in the banks. People don’t live by elections alone. There are no procedures for everyday life," Omurbek Babanov said.
He added that there are rumors about the uselessness and unsuitability of passports. «Therefore, money is being spent not for its intended purpose. How will citizens use passports in life? How will the Ministry of Internal Affairs identify without registration?» the parliamentarian asked.
