Corruption case initiated against Igor Chudinov, Akylbek Japarov

The Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case against two MPs from Bir Bol faction — Igor Chudinov and Akylbek Japarov. The supervisory body reported.

The criminal case was initiated on the fact of illegal allocation and misuse of the budget loan in the amount of 200 million soms of Machine Testing Station JSC in 2009–2015.

The case was initiated on the basis of materials received from the State Committee for National Security under the part 1 of Article 303 (corruption) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation of the criminal case was entrusted to the investigation department of the State Committee for National Security.

From 2009 to 2010, Akylbek Japarov served as the first vice-prime minister of Kyrgyzstan. In 2011, he was appointed the Minister of Finance. Now he is a deputy of the Parliament.

From 2007 to 2009, Igor Chudinov served as prime minister of Kyrgyzstan. Since November 6, 2009 he has been the General Director of the Development Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic. He is the deputy of Parliament now.
