Ministry of Economy about disadvantages of Kyrgyz exporters

Today at press conference, the Deputy Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Eldar Abakirov told about the shortcomings of domestic exporters.

According to him, mainly products from Kyrgyzstan are sold to Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China and the European Union. Each country has its own requirements, to which the goods from the Kyrgyz Republic may not correspond.

«Businessmen in Kyrgyzstan lack skills to find international events, which documents are needed for exporting goods. Also,  they have weak skills in marketing competitors and lack of awareness of banking operations. We don’t have enough funds to promote exports. In addition, many don’t know foreign languages. Products are uncompetitive in terms of calibration, price, packaging, labeling. Because of this, the goods can’t enter a large network," Eldar Abakirov said.
