Patriarch Kirill concerned about irresponsibility for words spoken

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill is concerned about irresponsibility for the words spoken. He said this today at a meeting at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

According to him, the happiest years of his life were the years associated with educational institutions. «I am always amazed at the irresponsibility of people for the words spoken. This happens at rallies.  This is impossible at the academic council. If the thought is incorrect, the colleagues will correct it. The scientific community is place where the person is responsible for the spoken words. Protection itself involves a responsible process. This forms a culture of speech and responsibility for words," Patriarch Kirill said.

He added that the theme of freedom is relevant at all levels of life. «Stop any person, and he will say that he is for freedom. The desire for freedom is laid by God in our culture," the patriarch said.

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill visited Kyrgyzstan for the first time. In Bishkek, he consecrated Voskresensky Cathedral.
