Russia’s FSB concerned about perpetrators of terrorist attacks from CIS

The Federal Security Service of Russia is concerned about the fact that the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks are immigrants from CIS countries. The head of the Federal Security Service of Russia Alexander Bortnikov said today at a meeting of the Council of heads of security agencies and special services of the CIS member states.

According to him, 20 years have passed since the day of the formation of the council. Terrorist threats continue to increase. Geography is growing.

The fact that the performers are natives of the CIS, who follow Islamic ideology, is of particular concern

Alexander Bortnikov

ISIL adapts to the changing situation, adapts its resources. It uses electronic means of communication, aggressively imposes ideology, thereby recruiting young people through well-known social networks. Many people throughout the world succumb to the influence of ISIL members. Secret cells are created among the migrants and refugees.

There is a constant exchange of such information within the work of the council. The head of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation cited as an example the operative and coordinated work of the special services of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, which combined efforts for search.
