Parliamentary Speaker - first from Kyrgyzstan visited Turkey after coup attempt

Speaker of the Parliament Chynybay Tursunbekov became the first politician in  who visited after an attempted military coup. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic Binali Yildirim.

«After the well-known events in  on July 15, 2016, you were the first of the top leadership of , who immediately visited our country. I want to express my gratitude and I am confident that this visit will open a new page in our cooperation," Binali Yildirim said addressing to the Speaker of the Parliament.

Chynybay Tursunbekov recalled the goal stated in 2013 — to bring the trade turnover between the two countries to $ 1 billion and suggested holding the next (ninth in a row) meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.

Chynybay Tursunbekov also announced readiness to hold the next plenary session of the TURKPA in , scheduled for July 2017.

Binali Yildirim, referring to the forthcoming presidential elections in  scheduled for autumn 2017, wished good luck in their successful holding.

The Turkish Prime Minister admitted that the situation around Sebat had its definite influence on bilateral relations.
