Prime Minister recalls how Kyrgyzstan imported tomatoes in 2016

Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov today at a government meeting reminded the head of the Ministry of Agriculture how Kyrgyzstan imported tomatoes in 2016.

According to the head of the Cabinet, the republic had all opportunities to export grown agricultural products. But the pests spoiled the harvest of tomatoes, so we had to import them from Russia.

We also have a service for pest control. It should carry out preventive work as farmers can’t cope with this problem alone. The labor of agricultural producers shouldn’t be in vain.

The meeting discusses the course of spring field work.
