Kyrgyzstan to publish list of terrorist organizations annually

President Almazbek Atambayev signed amendments to the Law on Counteracting Terrorism. The Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.

According to it, the purpose of the document is to counteract the influence of radical extremist ideologies on young people and timely inform the public about the organizations recognized by the courts of Kyrgyzstan as terrorist.

It is proposed to introduce changes that provide for the maintenance by the authorized state bodies for ensuring national security of a single list of organizations recognized as terrorist and its annual publication in print media and on official websites of the state bodies.

The law was adopted by the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic on April 5, 2017.
