Sooronbay Jeenbekov will leave the post of the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan after registration by the Central Election Commission. The day before, the political council of SDPK recommended him as a single candidate for the presidential election 2017.

As the member of the Central Election Commission Kairat Osmonaliev explained to 24.kg news agency, according to the procedure and according to the law, Sooronbay Jeenbekov, if the Social Democrats support his candidacy at the congress, must resign after registration by CEC.

«In this case, the first Vice Prime minister will become an acting PM. The cabinet of ministers in this case can be retained, but as acting. The new Cabinet will be formed by the deputies after the summer break," Kairat Osmonaliev said.

He added that if presidential elections are held on October 15, then the official registration of candidates will start on June 15.
