Kazakhstan's Parliament approves agreement on allocation of $100 M to Kyrgyzstan

The Parliament of Kazakhstan ratified the agreement on rendering financial assistance to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of $ 100 million. The funds will be used to integrate the Kyrgyz Republic with the Eurasian Economic Union, Kazakh media reported.

It is noted that Kyrgyzstan will improve the customs infrastructure on EEU border and will bring the border posts in line with the requirements of the phytosanitary systems.

It will be phased assistance. The Kyrgyz side is obliged to submit a package of documents with a list of activities and the reasonability of the assistance provided. The cost estimate will be calculated after consideration of the statement.

To monitor the effectiveness of the use of the allocated money, an audit commission will be created. Recall, the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on December 26, 2016 in St. Petersburg (Russia).
