63 children repatriated from Moscow (Russia) to Kyrgyzstan since 2011

At least 63 children have been repatriated from and the region to  since 2011. The head of the department for the protection of the family and children of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Janyl Dzhumabaeva, told today at a press conference.

«37 of them were placed for adoption and only 8 were reunited with their biological families. Another 12 are brought up in residential care institutions, 6 were taken under guardianship. Even if children have congenital pathologies, we also return them to our homeland and take all measures the children to live in the family," she said.

Janyl Dzhumabaeva noted that Kyrgyz citizens who abandoned their children in , in most cases, were not registered at maternity care institutions and were not married.
