Prime Minister points to poor struggle of state bodies with corruption

The Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov pointed to poor work of state bodies in the regions in the fight against corruption. He said this at a government meeting.

According to him, state bodies should change the way of working with the population.

Dear governors, akims, those who work directly with the people. If we don’t change attitude to the population at the local level, we won’t add trust to the state power.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov

As he noted, the fight against corruption goes on in the central apparatus of state bodies, whereas the issue of fighting corruption at the local level is not raised.

«I didn’t hear that the district collegiums to consider anti-corruption issues, so that there was discussion, measures were taken, and therefore, there are a lot of complaints about state agencies rendering services to the population in the regions," Sooronbay Jeenbekov said.
