Issyk-Kul is the second among the resorts of the CIS, popular with Russian tourists, the analytical agency TurStat provided this information.
According to it, the top five includes Borovoye (Kazakhstan), Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan), Naroch (Belarus), Lenkoran (Azerbaijan) and Sevan (Armenia).
The ranking is based on the analysis of the data of online hotel reservation systems. According to TurStat, Russian tourists book a holiday on Issyk-Kul lake on average for 10 days.
The tourist budget for recreation is an average of $ 75 per day. Mainly Russian tourists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Moscow region come to Issyk-Kul Lake.
