The head of the Central Election Comission, Nurzhan Shayldabekova, is sure that CEC has created all conditions for free expression of the will of citizens in elections. She said this today at a seminar on functioning of the electoral system.
Nurzhan Shayldabekova stressed that the main goal of the electoral system (ES) is to exclude falsifications that took place under the previous regimes, such as mass ballot stuffing and voting for another person. According to her,
«Many countries of the world abandoned the purely electronic system of elections because of the high risk of hacker attacks. ES reforming has passed the procedural stage, and now there is a task of further reforming. I would like to see that no one has any doubts about the reliability and transparency of the electoral process," the head of the CEC added.
She stressed that this electoral model was highly appreciated and was of interest in other countries.
