Donors allocate credit for improving rural water supply in Kyrgyzstan

Donors again allocate a loan to improve rural water supply in . This was announced today at the session of the Parliament.

It is noted that the Islamic Development Bank project was developed in the framework of parallel financing with the World Bank. The project is being implemented in 24 villages of Jalal-Abad region.

The cost of the project is $ 23 million, $ 15 million of which is IDB financing, $ 5 million- from the Islamic Solidarity Fund, and $ 3 million is allocated by the government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The loan of the Islamic Development Bank is provided for 25 years, including 7 years of the grace period, at a rate of 1.5 percent from the date of entry into force of the agreement.

Earlier, the deputies criticized the work of the government because of inefficient use of credit resources on Taza Suu project.
