Government of KR plans to resettle people from dangerous places through court

The Government of Kyrgyzstan warns the population about the descent of landslides in a timely manner, but people do not move. The Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhenish Razakov announced today at the session of Parliament.

According to him, no one lived in four houses in Auy village, where the landslide descended.

«It was a dangerous area. Three families were warned and recommended to move. They received loans and plots, but did not move. Four more houses were built illegally. We warn the population every year," Zhenish Razakov said. According to him, the elders of the village decided not to move.

The issue of forced resettlement will now be decided through court.

Recall, a landslide with the volume of 200,000 cubic meters descended on the morning of April 29 in the village of Ayu, Zerger rural area of Uzgen district, Osh region. It covered 11 houses, seven of which were inhabited by people. 24 people were killed.
