Parliamentary speaker of Kyrgyzstan to visit Iran

Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Chynybay Tursunbekov will pay an official visit to Iran. The Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev announced today at a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif.

According to him, development and strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations is extremely important for Kyrgyzstan.

Erlan Abdyldaev also outlined the main directions in cooperation with Iran. «This is transport, communications, processing industry, agriculture and light industry. In addition, we discussed the construction of a railway from Iran to China through Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan," Erlan Abdyldaev said.

The official added that consensus had been reached in all areas and progress was planned.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran stressed that he saw the political will and the desire to deepen cooperation in the economic, political, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the field of banking cooperation.

«We stated our readiness to use the potential of Iranian companies in the field of construction and infrastructure. We agreed to bring the export and import of two countries to a new level. There are no restrictions on the part of Iran for cooperation with Kyrgyzstan," Mohammad Javad Zarif said.
