State Ecological Inspectorate to begin inspection of all resorts in May 2017

The staff of the State Ecological Inspectorate will begin to check all health facilities, resorts and recreation places on the territory of Kyrgyzstan in May 2017. Representatives of the department said this today at a press conference.

In case of non-compliance with environmental and technical requirements, the reception and servicing of tourists will be prohibited.

Before the beginning of the summer tourist season, health-improving institutions and recreation facilities of Issyk-Kul region were provided with a plan for compulsory execution of points for the preservation of the environment, compliance with the requirements of water transport and fire safety.

«We are interested in the successful holding of the tourist season. In particular, we conduct planned and unscheduled inspections in Issyk-Kul region. There are 193 recreation institutions in the region, and there are only 155 in Issyk-Kul district. Only 111 out of 193 facilities have their own local facilities for wastewater treatment. We are working hard to ensure their proper work and the entire territory to be clean and tidy," head of the Environmental Safety Department of the State Inspectorate for Ecological and Technical Safety Maksat Omurov said.

He noted that in 2016, 12 health facilities didn’t cope with the work of treatment facilities. «Problems at 5 objects were fixed. As of today, 7 of them remain unresolved," Maksat Omurov added.
