Epizootic situation in Kyrgyzstan stable

The epizootic situation in  as of April 2017 is stable. Deputy Director of the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety Ashirbai Zhusupov told today at a press conference.

According to him, vaccination of all animals against foot-and-mouth disease, smallpox, plague, anthrax, rabies is now being carried out.

«In general, everything is fine concerning nine very contagious diseases. Scheduled activities are conducted in a timely manner. In 2017, about 130 million soms have been allocated from the republican budget for these purposes," Ashirbai Zhusupov said.

«In addition, the state inspection carries out identification of farm animals. This work began in pilot regions — Nookat district of Osh region, Issyk-Ata district of Chui region and Kara-Buura district of Talas region. Identification is completed in these three areas," he said.
