KR wants to increase number of exceptions under single customs tariff of EEU

Kyrgyzstan wants to additionally increase the number of exceptions under the single customs tariff of the EEU, Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov said today at a meeting of the parliamentary majority coalition.

The government plans to continue work on recognizing the equivalence of the domestic system of veterinary control to the norms of the union.

Modern laboratories that meet international quality standards will be created. Also, an information system will be introduced to track veterinary and sanitary certificates, the official said.

«Four new veterinary laboratories are being built at the expense of the state budget in Talas, Batken, Karakol, Balykchy towns, and animal identification work is in progress. And this will help finally remove veterinary control in the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border," Sooronbay Jeenbekov added.

According to him, a list of additional exceptions on a single customs tariff for Kyrgyzstan has already been prepared for priority sectors. It includes 742 commodity items, including goods produced at «Bishkek» free-trade zone. In the near future, the list will be submitted to the Eurasian Economic Commission for approval.
