Meeting of Supreme Eurasian Economic Council begins in Bishkek

The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council with the participation of the Presidents of the EEU countries begins in Bishkek.

The Presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin, Belarus - Alexander Lukashenko, Armenia - Serzh Sargsyan, the head of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan arrived in Kyrgyzstan. The arrival of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is expected. The head of Moldova, Igor Dodon, also arrived in Bishkek. The country wants to get observer status in the EEU.

During the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the parties will discuss topical issues of economic interaction within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as issues of international cooperation and further integration in the Eurasian space.

The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be held within the framework of the presidency of Kyrgyzstan in the EEU this year. At the suggestion of the President Almazbek Atambayev, 2017 will be devoted to the creation of the best conditions for business development in the Eurasian space.

Later, the arrival of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is expected. He will take part in the informal summit of the CSTO, which will discuss issues of further development of the organization, as well as deepen cooperation in ensuring regional security.
