Bishkek budget allocates 10 million soms for road to new cemetery

Bishkek budget preliminary allocated 10 million soms for the construction of the road in the village of Grozd, Chui region, the vice mayor Ernis Zarlykov said at the session of the City Council.

The cemetery in Grozd village of Alamudun district was planned to be opened for burial in September 2014. In the spring of 2015, the ex-mayor of Bishkek Kubanychbek Kulmatov stated that the South-Western cemetery in the capital will be used for another five years, since additional areas are found. However, later, Bishkek officials again promised to open another graveyard by September 2015.

In December 2016, Mayor Albek Ibraimov said that the cemetery would work in 2017. But there are certain problems with the road.

Deputies  are considering the budget of the capital for this year at the session.
