Four madrasahs were closed in , the representative of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan Kushtarbek Mamatov reported to journalists.
According to him, these religious educational institutions didn’t have permits and conditions for teaching children. Classes were given directly in mosques.
«Before that, we checked them and warned. We explained to them the norms of the law," Kushtarbek Mamatov said.
Earlier, the commission, consisting of representatives of the Bishkek Main Department of Internal Affairs, Juvenile Affairs Inspectorate, mufti, district akimiats and other state bodies, inspected religious educational institutions. Based on the results of the check, violations of safety standards and sanitary norms were detected in a number of madrasahs.
According to official data, there are 102 madrasahs in . More than a half of them were registered and operate under the law.
